Forestry Volume 77, Number 4, 2004

The utility and limitations of chloroplast DNA analysis for identifying native British oak stands and for guiding replanting strategy A. Lowe, R. Munro, S. Samuel and J. Cottrell pp. 335-347 Figures 3 & 4 [doi:10.1093/forestry/epi011]

Oxford University Press would like to point out that the legends supplied for each figure was incorrect and should be as follows:

Figure 3. cpDNA type of 75 trees selected across Britain due to their superior phenotype (from Hubert and Savill, 1999).

Figure 4. Distribution of cpDNA haplotypes within samples from 16 stands used as seed sources. The size of pie is proportional to the number of samples taken. For most stands, five trees were genotyped, the exceptions are Dymock (n = 26), Blackney (n = 15), Mousecastle Woods (n = 10), Drummond Castle, Edge Ed and Sutton Bottom (n = 9) and Bradley Hill (n = 3).

Both the publisher and the authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
