Recent developments are discussed and the use being made by the Department of Forestry, University of Edinburgh, of the photographic photometer, the luxmeter, and the barrier-layer cell is described separately in detail and illustrated by photographs. The use of filters is considered and a note added on the position reached by research into the problem.
